The Writing Meme:
1. Whats the last thing you wrote?
A poem - Fragile
2. Was it any good?
I define good poetry as that which is instilled with emotion. It may not be technically good, but I poured my soul into it, that makes it good enough for me.
3. Whats the first thing you wrote that you still have?
Actually uh, right now my mom has it. Ha! She kept the first short story I ever wrote. I believe it was in 2nd grade. It was for Halloween and so was about a spooky witch and a spider. It is one page long and has absolutely no commas, periods, or correct spelling
4. Write poetry?
Absolutely. Some times it is the only way I know to express myself. When the words to explain just wont come, I write a poem. This is why they are generally very free form, because they are very personal. I write them for me as well, you guys just get to see the glimpses of my soul within them.
5. Angsty poetry?
Yes. No. Maybe. I just write what I feel, whatever that may be at the time.
6. Favourite genre of writing?
I love writing anything with male/female interactions. If that generally leads to sex, whether in my erotica, sci-fi, or fantasy, well I guess I just like the topic *cheesy grin*
7. Most fun character youve ever created?
Hmmmm. Im gonna say... Gabriel in the Conquer Me novella. Hes quite delicious. I would eat him up with a cherry! Just wicked enough with a dash of gallantry. Yummy
8. Most annoying character youve ever created?
Why would I write about annoying people? That would just annoy me
9. Best plot youve ever created?
The next one. Always the next one for I hope to ever improve
10. Coolest plot twist youve ever created?
My thing isnt shock factor. Its emotion. When I read a piece, I want to feel, see, and breathe it. So that is what I try to write. Feel their pleasure, sense their hesitation, know their victories. That is a good read, a roller coaster of emotion with a satisfying end.
11. How often do you get writers block?
I either do or I dont. Generally its at the beginning of a piece, in the early stages. Once I get started on paper it just flows and doesnt stop. If I have to stop in between due to things I have to do, then starting up again is hard. But again, once I get going my hands know just what to do
12. Write fan fiction?
Nah. I prefer the freedom to do as I wish completely. When you write fan fic, there are like rules and previously established things you must hold to.
13. Do you type or write by hand?
If I can AT ALL help it, I type. Because MAN my fingers have been cramping from how many notes I take in school! Still, I do jot down poetry in the moment as it were, and write prose when Im stuck at school with nothing to do because a teacher didnt show up or something.
14. Do you save everything you write?
No. Unfortunately, when I feel a piece is stupid or not good enough Ill trash it. True, I sometimes will think dang I wish Id kept that, I have a great idea NOW that could make that so much better! But no. Im too .... hmmm.... afraid of being found lacking truthfully. Words hurt me more than they should. I think words hold the power of the world, good and evil.
15. Do you ever go back to an idea after youve abandoned it?
Yes, if I can remember it. Ha!
16. Whats your favorite thing youve written?
For the moment - (Because life is ever changing
17. Whats everyone elses favorite story that youve written?
My DA statistics say: Virgin Seduction has the most comments, the most faves, AND the most views
18. Do you ever show people your work?
Rarely. DA has been very freeing. The people I did show my work to irl... were not very supportive.
19. Did you ever write a novel?
Okay Im totally stealing what Subdivided said
Isnt every writer required to say I am working on my novel? *giggles* Actually I was working on one, but found it a little frustrating. This is actually some of what moved me to give college a try. I know I will have classes specifically on such. Im so looking forward to it
20. Ever written romance or angsty teen drama?
Teen drama no. Romance. Yep yep!
21. Whats your favorite setting for your characters?
The only thing required is some flesh. Bedroom, park bench, dreary dungeon, wherever. I love it! XD
22. How many writing projects are you working on right now?
One. I do my best to only work on one at a time. I read a book about writing (lol) that suggested that if you have other ideas while working on a project, jot it down quickly and briefly so it wont distract you, but dont linger on it. Stay rolling in the one project and finish it first
23. Do you want to write for a living?
Yes. I love to write
24. Have you ever won an award for your writing?
Nope. That would involve... sharing... and rejection.... yeah Im working up to it
25. Ever written anything in script or play format?
Not yet. But I know I have a class in it to look forward to.
26. What are your five favorite words?
Tantalizing; YES!; fuck; No. (Generally for the consequences of saying it though ha!); Master
27. Do you ever write based on yourself?
In NEARLY every piece I write there are aspects of myself within, whether in personality, description, or specific events in my life. One glaring one that is absolutely NOT based on myself is the Aristocrat as the female character was inspired by DusksSmexyness.
28. What character have you created that is most like yourself?
The Auction, After The Auction: Possession.
29. Where do you get ideas for your characters?
All of life is inspiration. People I know, events I observe, dreams, stories I read, etc etc etc
30. Do you ever write based on your dreams?
Yes. *points up and smiles*
31. Do you favor happy endings, sad endings or cliff-hangers?
I favor happy endings. I like to end fully satisfied like a good meal
32. Have you ever written based on an artwork youve seen?
*tilts head* not as of yet that I can recall. Im sure it will occur in future though
33. Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
A little. Mostly spelling as I KNOW Im not that great at grammar. A place to improve.
34. Ever write anything in chatspeak (how r u?)
Not intentionally... though on occasion Ill like something from chat so much that I save it and use it later heh..........
35. Entirely in L337?
Whats that? :S
36. Was that question appalling and unwriterly?
Number 35? What it was, was confusing
38. Does music help you write?
Before I write, sure. Never during. Music makes me want to move and I dont move and type
39. Quote something youve written. Whatever pops into your head.
But no, they were just really good imitations. Fake diamonds for a fake beauty... From The Auction. Yes, Ill just let that one lie...
WHO AM I TAGGING? YOU! TAG! *tags whoever reads this*
